“Our collaboration with Bentley Motors and the knowledge exchange we have undertaken as a result has inspired us to see things very differently. Jaume Ferras, Global Creative Director for The Macallan, said: “Taking inspiration from the automotive industry, we are showcasing our creative vision and concept development of The Macallan Horizon, which is among the most unique projects we have embarked on in our almost 200-year history. The whisky will be made available next summer. The bottle features a horizontal design with a 180-degree twist and has no standing base. Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell developed the single malt whisky following a visit to Bentley Motors in Crewe. That is reflected in the prototype's six unique upcycled, repurposed or ethically sourced materials which are vital to both The Macallan and Bentley Motors.Īmong them is recycled copper from The Macallan's former distillery, aluminium recovered from Bentley Motors as well as recycled wood, glass and carbon neutral leather. The whisky, which will be made available from summer 2023, pays homage to The Macallan's Six Pillars - the foundation's of the historic brand. The limited edition whisky, named Macallan Horizon, was created after extensive collaboration between the Speyside whisky makers and the luxury automotive business. The Macallan Horizon was created in conjunction with Bentley Motors. THE Macallan has unveiled a prototype single malt whisky alongside Bentley Motors.
